Direct. Taking charge of a meeting, junior Kaitlyn Johns helps lead a Freshman Mentoring meeting. Johns was involved and lead many different clubs.

Student Senate requires a lot of time commitment and effort in general. There are a few students who go above and beyond for the group. Seniors Paige Lehman and Cole Kieper, and juniors Maddie Reihs and Kaitlyn Johns are officers for Student Senate.
“I wanted to be an officer because last year Delaney Swanson did a terrific job and I wanted to provide this year’s Student Senate members with an effective leader,” said senior Cole Kieper.
The officers have many plans and things they would like to see improve within Student Senate including student involvement.
“Sometimes at meetings someone will offer an idea, and we can’t do it because we’ve know from past experience the students don’t react well to certain ideas, ” said senior Paige Lehman.
Officers of every club have a lot of people relying on them to be timely and give a sufficient effort. Student senate officers have the entire student body relying on them to get the students involved and make high school as enjoyable as possible.
“Our officers are tremendous at making sure we constantly have projects going and want to make sure they are living up to our expectations of them,” said sophomore Abby Trautman.
Student Senate encourages the student body to get involved and have fun in high school. The officers of Student Senate contribute many things such as time and effort to reach out to the student body and community.
