The annual Mr. RP event is coming up! This is not only just an event but it’s also a big fundraiser for the Student Senate. It is a male pageant that all boys at the school have the opportunity to participate in. This year they have 19 contestants competing. The pageant consists of a group dance, question and answer session, and a talent contest. Jeff Moore is the Student Senate advisor and has been putting on this event for 20 years. He can’t wait to see who all shows up this year.

“I love to see ‘the talent’ we have here at Ray-Pec. I also find it strange that teenage humor is completely different than what I think is funny,” said Moore.

Moore isn’t the only one helping put this event together. Senior and Student Body President Kendall Johnson works behind the scenes and is putting together this event seamlessly. Her excellent leadership skills are making this event come to life.

“I am super excited for this event and have been working alongside other amazing seniors. I am so excited to see this event come to life,” said Johnson.

Johnson has been a part of the Student Senate for 3 years. She has watched Mr. RP all her years in high school and that has made the planning process a lot easier.

“Seeing the great leadership that the host before me has made it easier for me to be able to be prepared,” said Johnson.

Mr. RP will be held Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 7pm. As this event quickly approaches, students can plan on tickets being available for purchase at the door. Tickets will be $5.
