Transition Night held for upcoming freshmen

Upcoming freshmen talk to high school teachers about the classes they could potentially take.

The school hosted their first ever transition night January 15th. This night was to inform the incoming freshman class of what Ray-Pec high school has to offer. Parents and students could walk around and see different clubs and departments and get the opportunity to ask any questions they might have.

“This is going to inform parents of different clubs and what Ray-Pec has to offer,” said Cheryl Gray.

This night was different than past orientation nights because it was more in depth to inform students and parents. This will help to relieve the anxieties that students have about starting high school. Also to help them to be more comfortable.

“I think it’s a good idea because it shows them what classes are like and what different things you can do in high school,” said freshman Ashley Demarco.

This will show these future panthers what opportunities they will receive here at Ray-Pec. And with this knowledge students can put forth their best effort and focus on their future.
