This weekend marks the beginning of the road to our female wrestler’s
opportunity to capture a state title in the women’s division in the
inaugural season of the MSHSAA Girl’s Wrestling Championships. Ray-Pec
High School has five ladies competing in District #3 at Nixa High
School this weekend.  There are 52 schools competing in District #3.
The lineup is led by Senior Emily Buasri, sophomores Shelby Patterson,
Chloe Adams, and Tatum Westendorf , and freshman Samantha Archer.  The
women’s division is amassed into one class and four districts which
differs from the men’s division which is split into four different
classes each divided into four districts.  The top 3 wrestlers in the
Girl’s district will move on to the state tournament that will be held
during the Boys’ Missorui State Tournament February 14, 15, 16th.

The 103-pound weight class is headlined by 2 ranked wrestlers with the
#6 ranked grappler being Shelby Patterson of Ray-Pec.  Both Shelby
Patterson and Samantha Archer are seeded second in District #3
rankings.  Emily Buasri is competing in the 116 pound weight class

followed by Chloe Adams at 126, Tatum Westendorf at 131 and finally

Samantha Archer representing the 143 pound weight bracket.
