Search parties for Jessica Runions

Jessica Runions is a loved daughter, friend, sister, and RP graduate. She went missing September 8, 2016. There have been events taken place, including weekly search parties, in hopes of finding some answers to this situation. Search parties have been going on in a handful of places under suspicious circumstances.
The turnouts of these events have been tremendous and anyone is able to participate. Megan Runions is Jessica’s little sister, she and one of her friends Samantha Vo have been participating in these search parties.
“There has been a lot of people,” said Megan Runions.
When there is a search party taken place, the hope is that in the end it can result in some sort of answer or evidence to the situation going on. The search parties for Jessica have had a great deal of help from the participants in the search and they are are not stopping now.
“They have searched Belton, Raymore, Peculiar. In the future they are searching Benton County. They have already found her burnt car, and cameras have been found on a trail that they are looking at but that’s about it,” said freshman Megan Runions.
Some may not have known of the searches that have been taken place. Most of the participants have been family and close family friends according to family friend Samantha Vo. Students are very encouraged to step up and help.
The places picked to search are significant to Jessica’s disappearance because of where she had been and also lived prior to her disappearance. The leads and tips the investigators have been given have helped dictate where the searches have been taken place also.
“I don’t know the rest [of the locations] because they didn’t want the kids going because of what they might find,” said Samantha Vo.
The motivation behind these girls and everyone else participating in the search are very clear, they want to know the answers behind Jessica’s disappearance. They will not stop searching until they find their closure.
“She is family to me and we just want her to come home and closure that she is okay,” said Samantha Vo.
