For three decades, Jeff Moore has been a teacher at the high school, leading students through history, student senate, and bringing energy to school events as a game announcer. As he prepares to retire, students and staff reflect on the impact he has had on our school. He is a great representative for the classes he teaches and the clubs he sponsors.
Moore, who teaches social studies classes such as Government and AP Government, has dedicated his teaching career to fostering students with leadership and school spirit. No matter if it’s in the classroom or at games when he is the game announcer, his influence has been shared across many generations of students.
“I enjoy interacting with young people in a positive way,” Moore mentioned.
The commitment he has towards students is very trusting and reliable. The school has also increased past academics from previous students who have attended the school because of Moore. He has been a mentor, a supporter, and a leader by supporting both students and staff members.
As he looks forward to retirement at the end of the 2024-2025 school year, he hopes to leave a great legacy of joy.
“I want to end my time here by having some fun and hopefully as a person that everyone knew they could count on,” Moore said.
His legacy is important to both him and the people surrounding him. His demeanor and presence in the halls, on the microphone at sporting events, and as a teacher teaching social studies classes will be missed. His dedication will not be forgotten at the school and will be cherished. The school prepares to send a loving and safe goodbye to Mr. Moore, and his influences will continue to shape both the school and our community as a whole for the future.
