The Raymore-Peculiar School District would like students and parents to be of the situation regarding the trees in the front of the South High School building. Principal Steven Miller sent out the following message today:

As part of the site preparation for the new addition onto the South High School, several memorial trees near the front of the school must be relocated for the driveway and parking lot expansion. This work is currently under way today. Every effort will be made to save as many of the current trees as possible. Any trees that cannot be relocated will be replaced.

The trees have been planted in honor of students who have passed away throughout the years, and the trees will be replaced or relocated to a place where construction will not occur.
