Saturday, Sep. 26, the girls’ Varsity cross country drove to a special event in Oklahoma.
It rained the day before and the OK course was covered in wood chips.
Other than the wood chips stuck in the girls’ shoes and hilly terrain the girls pushed on.
“The course was really hard but it was fun,” said senior Alison Gillespie.
The difficulty of the course and new conditions did not stop the girls that day.
“I was so focused on racing that I don’t think it affected me that much,” said Gillespie.
Heat and humidity was very noticeable that day.
“It was a good day to race,” said senior Kami Tabor.
