Cars and Candy

Next month is the annual Trunk-or-Treat at Ray-Pec High School. The event is hosted by Student Senate and supports the school’s Special Olympics program. To participate, students and organizations must have ten dollars, lots of candy, and a car with a trunk.

The event is scheduled for October 27, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the back of the North High School building parking lot.

Student Senate sponsor Jeff Moore recommends that all clubs, organizations, and sports participate.

“It helps their local communities and they get to see cute kids in costumes,” said Moore.

Even if students are not in a school sponsored program, they can still participate.

“I would just get a group of friends, a trunk, tons of candy, and we will hook you up” said sophomore class president Erin Woolf.

In addition to the outside activity, there will also be other activities, such as games, inside the gym.

“In the North building gym we have a carnival thing for the kids with games,” said Woolf.
