The wrestling team had a huge upset against rival Lee’s Summit West in their first conference game on Wed. Jan. 14.  Lee’s Summit West has already played every other team in their conference, and beat everyone, putting Ray-Pec in the favor to win conference for the first time in eight years.

“It’s a big win for us. It put us in the drivers seat to win conference,” said head coach Brett Barbarick.

The final score of the match was 37-26, and the next wrestling meet will be held at Jefferson City, on Fri. Jan. 16.
