It’s Game Time
Teachers and students look forward to the upcoming faculty basketball game
For every school there are games that must be won. At this school, these games are the ones that face off with the Belton school district. Now while most competitions against rivals are played by students this is not always the case. This unique circumstance happens every year at the annual faculty basketball game where teachers and other employees from each school enjoy an intense game against one another. This year the marketing program here at school will be hosting the event.
On November 18th in the main gym faculty from both schools will face off by playing two games; one mens game and one womens game. Starting at 6:30 pm the women with play a game that will be directly followed by the mens game. For students, cost is $3 with no other passes being accepted while there is will be a $5 charge for adults with all proceeds going to MDA otherwise known as Muscle Dystrophy Association. Even with the charges however many students still look forward to this event every year and come out to support their teachers.
“The game gives the students the chance to see their teachers in another light. It is very competitive between the teams and students like to see the competition aspect, as well. The fan base grows every year,” said marketing teacher Kimberly Schrader.
Coming off last year’s win, students and faculty alike are ready for the 18th and the opportunity to crush Belton yet again this year.
