Wheels for Wishes helps ill children
Recycling old vehicles provides money to fulfill children’s wishes
Imagine a child laying in a hospital bed, not knowing if they will live much longer. Imagine the sickness they feel and the envy they may have when they realize that they can not always perform the actions and have the experiences others are able to.
One program’s mission is to give this child, and children around the nation in life-threatening medical conditions, an experience they have always dreamed for, and so far over 334,000 children have experienced their wishes come true. This program is “Make-a-Wish”, and they are asking people to support them by participating in such donations like “Wheels for Wishes”.
“Wheels for Wishes” allows a person to relieve themselves of a burden, as well as benefit the wishes of children and the environment. If one has almost any type of vehicle that they need to get rid of, even if these do not run or are without titles , they can donate those to this program. This recycles vehicles and also helps provide the money possible to make a child’s wish come true.
Once filling out the online car donation form and it goes through processing, the “Wheels for Wishes” program will pick up the vehicle. After that, they must try to sell the car for at least $500, while taking care of all the paperwork and tax information. If the vehicle does not sell, then they will recycle it, but still take care of the paperwork and tax information.
If a student’s family owns a run-down vehicle they are wanting to get rid of, there a thousands of children hoping that it will be given to the “Wheels for Wishes” organization, so that their wishes can become reality.
