The Raymore Fair

Every year when Fall comes around the corner, Raymore-Peculiar hosts a festival behind Raymore Elementary School. They have carnival games, festival rides, and delicious fair food. Students of all ages come to the festival for fun every year, for there is an activity to entertain every age.

This year RayPec’s robotics team set up camp to show off some of their coolest robots.

Member of the robotics team Emma Browning loved her experience at the festival this year.

“Working with the Raymore Festival has been honestly really fun, I have met a lot of fun people and seen some people I haven’t talked to in a while so that is super fun to reconnect, working with kids is also really fun,” said Browning.

The robotics team also set up an experiment for kids.

“We are running a soldering activity for kids right now, basically RayPec provided a little robot named “Sparky” for kids to take home and learn the basics about soldering,” said Browning.

Another member of the Robotics team is Ezra Robertson. Ezra plays a huge role on the team.

“My role as a sophomore on the team is to do cad, electronics when it’s needed, manufacturing, and assembly of the parts. I help teach first years and I take a lot of leadership roles” said Robertson.

Some look forward to festivals simply for the food. Browning and Robertson share their opinions on Raymores festival food.

“Fair food is honestly expensive and super unhealthy but it’s good. My go-to is definitely caramel apples or a funnel cake. It is a tie between the two,” said Robertson

“My go-to fair food is the hot dog, I know it sounds weird but it’s the hot dog,” said Browning

The Raymore Annual fair continues to amaze all of the people who attend. With the many games, activities, and delicious food, the fair has something for everyone.
